an alteration in the health of the olive tree that is caused by the constant interaction between the plant and a biological agent, often a fungus, a bacterium or a virus, or by other causes, mainly nutritional or climatic, and among which olive leaf spot, verticillium wilt, anthracnose and olive knot stand out.
