The datum that is representative of the amount of tocopherols that are contained in an olive oil and that is expressed in parts per million (ppm) or in mg/Kg, and that is used as a quality parameter.

Example

Comparison of the results based on α-tocopherol index showed a good correlation between the activities measured by TLC-DPPH and by the conventional cuvette assay.
